Marta Evans grew up in Albuquerque, NM and now lives in Austin, TX. She was the 2017-18 James C. McCreight Fiction Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing and received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. Her work has appeared in Joyland, Fence, Tin House, Wigleaf, Mississippi Review, and The Iowa Review, and was selected by Matthew Salesses for Wigleaf’s Top 50 Short Fictions of 2016.
